一、though although 区别

1、although比较正式，语气更加强烈。I'd quite like to go out,(al)though it is a bit late.我很想外出，虽然为时稍晚。

1、although引导的从句不能与but,however连用，但是可以与still,yet连用。不能说：Although he was old,but he worked hard.应把but去掉。当然，保留but而去Although也可。

2、although引导的从句可以主句前后，也可放在句中。

二、though和although 用法

1、用作连词时：都是表示“虽然”，两者大致同义，只是although比though更为正式。

2、用作习语时：例如even though固定短语中不能使用although.

3、用作副词时：though可以用作副词，一般放句末。although一般不用作副词。

 如：She promised to come, yet hasn't turned up until now, though。

4、用作倒装时：though引导的让步状语从句中可以部分用于倒装的形式，但although一般不这样使用。

如：Strange though it may seem, she still accepted the flower。

  =Although it seems strange, she still accept the flower。

三、although和though可以与but连用吗

1、but连接并列句，although ，though连接的是从句，矛盾了。

2、though和although习惯制上不和but连用，就是语言习惯，别拿中文习惯套英语习惯。

3、不能说：Although he was old,but he worked hard.应把but去掉。当然，保留but而去Although也可。在同一句中既用了从属连词(al)though，又用了并列连词but，会使得句子一半像复合句，一半像并列句，从而导致错误。
