erupt没有名词形式，中文意思为爆发。可作及物动词，也可做不及物动词。

作及物动词的时候意思为“爆发”“喷出”的意思，作不及物动词的时候意思为“爆发”“长牙“发疹”的意思。

二、erupt的用法

1、当erupt的意思是指火山等“爆发、喷发”，可表示“事件的突发”，可用作不及物动词或及物动词，用作不及物动词时后接介词from表示“从…喷出”，接介词into表示“突然发展成…”

（1）He says it's like a volcano ready to erupt.

他说这就像一座即将喷发的火山。

（2）The volcano could erupt at any time.

2、当erupt用作及物动词时可接名词或代词作宾语，可用于被动结构。
