一、whatever和no matter what的区别

Whatever可用于引导让步状语从句，也可以用于引导名词性从句，而no matter what只能用于引导让步状语从句。各类英语考试常以此为考点，通常会在选择题中出现。

二、Whateve的意思和用法

作限定词时，意思是：任何事物；不管什么；究竟是什么；（非正式）无所谓。

作代词时，意思是：无论什么；诸如此类。

作形容词时，意思是：都，任何。

作副词时，意思是：一点儿都不，丝毫；（非正式）不管怎样。

作连词时，意思是：任何事物。

作感叹词时，意思是：（非正式）随便（常暗示不感兴趣）。

Whatever有两个用法，第一个用法是作为引导名词性从句，如：主语从句、宾语从句、表语从句。第二个用法是作为引导让步状语从句。

1、作为引导名词从句有：

（一）Whatever she did was right. 她做的一切都是对的。

（二）Whatever she did was right. 她做的一切都是对的。

（三）I will do whatever you wish. 我可做任何你想我做的事。

（四）Give them whatever they desire. 他们想要什么就给他们什么。

（五）Whatever I have is at your service. 我所有的一切都由你使用。

（六）You may do whatever you want to do. 无论你想做什么事，你都可以做。

2、作为引导让步状语从句有：

（一）hatever we said, he'd disagree. 无论我们说什么，他都不同意。

（二）Whatever happened I must be calm. 不管发生什么情况我都要镇静。

（三）Don’t lose heart whatever difficulties you meet. 不管遇到什么困难都不要灰心。

（四）Whatever you do, I won't tell you my secret. 不管你做什么，我都不会把我的秘密告诉你。

（五）Whatever happens, we'll meet here tonight. 不管发生什么事情，我们今晚都在这儿碰头。

（六）Whatever happens, the first important thing is to keep cool. 不管发生什么事,头等重要的是保持冷静。

三、no matter what的意思和用法

no matter what的用法只能作为引导让步状语从句，不能引导名词性从句，它的意思是无论什么。

1、作为引导让步状语从句有：

（一）No matter what happened, he would not say a word.不管发生什么情况，他一句话都不肯讲。

（二）No matter what you do, don’t touch this switch. 无论怎样，都别碰这个按钮。

（三）No matter what happens I’ll stand by you.不管发生什么事我都支持你，别怕。

（四）She says she’11 follow him no matter what he says.她说不论他怎么说她都要跟他走。

（五）He will continue the work no matter what happens.不管发生什么情况他都要继续这项工作。
